QuoteValet Insight Dashboard
The Dashboard menu includes four options by default: Inbox, Peer Reviews, Approvals, and My Summary.

To unlock additional Dashboard options (Executive Summary, StatusBoard, and Document Explorer), security settings need to be adjusted for those specific users. These additional options are typically reserved for users such as sales managers and/or company executives, as they contain sales data for everyone using QuoteValet, which is usually not something you’d want sales reps to view.
To set this security, click Setup > User Maintenance > Edit (user) > Access. Under the user’s Access tab, select CanUseQuoteValetWebExecutiveSummary and/or CanUseQuotevaletWebStatusBoard, depending on the user.
Once these access rights have been given to you, refresh your QuoteValet settings by clicking QuoteValet from the QuoteWerks main toolbar. After that, simply refresh the QuoteValet Insight page, and the new Dashboard options will be available.
QuoteValet Insight Inbox
The Inbox under the Dashboard lets you view document activity. You can even view inbox activity for each sales rep if you have security rights to view their quotes, orders and invoices. This is the same inbox available in QuoteWerks by clicking QuoteValet on the main toolbar.

QuoteValet Insight Peer Reviews and Approvals
Peer Reviews
The Peer Reviews option under the Dashboard allows you to view documents that are currently being reviewed. From this screen, click View Peer Review Page to collaborate: make comments, view activity history, or send a note to the corresponding rep about the document.
NOTE: You’ll only be able to see the quotes you have the rights to view.

Approvals
Approvals allow sales managers to work with other managers who may be out of the office to ensure an efficient approval workflow. No redundant authorizations and e-mails that waste valuable time!

The Approvals screen displays a list of documents that have been submitted for manager approval but haven’t been approved yet. From this screen, you can click View Approval Page to approve the documents (if your security settings permit). Click on the Drop-down menu called "State" to the view the "Approval Pending" documents. These are a list of documents that have not yet been approved. To view a list of documents that have been denied approval, change the state to "Denied Approval".
Once a document has been approved, it will no longer appear under the "Approval Pending" documents. Additionally, you’ll only be able to view the quotes you have rights to view and approve.
QuoteValet Insight Executive Summary and My Summary
Executive Summary
The Executive Summary provides an overview of open quotes and orders submitted through QuoteValet. Quickly see how many quotes have been sent, accepted, and paid for; how many customer views are on the quotes; and how many customer and sales-rep comments have been left, as well as do a Comparative Analysis.
Clicking Quotes Accepted, for example, will display only accepted quotes. You can adjust the date range for quotes and orders by selecting Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, Two Months Ago, This Year, or Last Year from the Period drop-down box.

The Executive Summary view provides sales managers/admin users with an easy way to review the sales activities of all their reps in one location. Users can quickly change the settings for basic reporting of the documents being created within QuoteWerks.
Comparative Analysis
The Comparative Analysis allows sales managers/admins to view the number and dollar amounts of quotes and orders by sales rep. This view can be adjusted by timeframe from the Period drop-down box, including Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, Two Months Ago, This Year, and Last Year.
The Comparative Analysis allows managers to gather a quick snapshot of each rep’s sales progress, as well as compare it to that of their peers.

My Summary
The My Summary screen is similar to the Executive Summary. The main differences are that the My Summary will only show your (the logged-in user’s) documents and doesn’t include the Comparative Analysis available in the Executive Summary. You won’t be able to view and other users’ documents on this screen.

My Summary is a great place to check the status of your own documents quickly without having to look in QuoteWerks. From this screen, you can view how many quotes you’ve sent that day, how many were accepted and/or paid, how many customer views your quotes have, and number of customer and sales-rep comments they have.
All these categories are live links; clicking on them will automatically refresh with the documents that reflect that selection. For example, if you click Quotes Paid, the My Summary screen will only list the quotes that you’ve received payment for; clicking Top ($) Quotes will show only your top-dollar quotes.

Quote Links
Each quote has links the user can click to view specific features in the document:
- Customer Facing: Displays the customer’s quote in QuoteValet. This is the internal view of the document and does not register a view on the activity history.
- Sales Rep Facing: Displays the sales-rep side of the document so you can reply to any comments the customer posts.
- Send Note (shown below): Launches a note that enables you to send a comment to other QuoteWerks sales reps about that particular document. You can also CC users on the document, and a copy will automatically be sent to the you (the initiator).
- Activity History: Opens the document’s activity history.

QuoteValet Insight StatusBoard
The StatusBoard displays a non-interactive version of the Inbox for all users, but limits notifications to specific priority ones such as quote acceptance, payments, comments, and viewing of expired quotes. Notifications such as first-viewed or option changes will still display in your Inbox, but the StatusBoard notifications are the ones that require action. This makes it easy for a user to quickly view which documents need action without having to sort through each notification received.

The StatusBoard should ideally be displayed on a large monitor in the sales area, so the sales manager can see that all QuoteValet customer activity — orders processed, customer comments replied to, etc. — has been addressed. The StatusBoard refreshes every 60 seconds to update customer-activity notifications in real-time.
Additionally, StatusBoard includes a rotating panel on the right-hand side called the Leaderboard. This displays the top-dollar accepted quotes this week, month, and year, as well as the top-dollar outstanding quotes this week, month, and year.
QuoteValet Insight Document Explorer
The Document Explorer allows you to locate documents based on type (quote or order), date range, and sales rep, as well as sort by date delivered/ accepted, amount of the document, or sales rep.

You can build a filter to locate specific documents using these settings, such as a specific sales rep’s quotes that were created this week or group all reps’ orders together on one screen to see how many orders each rep closed last month.
QuoteValet Insight Find
You can quickly locate a document uploaded to QuoteValet by clicking Find. Here, search for documents by document number (DocNo) and/or name (DocName) and/or the sold-to company name’s (SoldToCompany).

Once the search locates the correct document(s), the results will be displayed below the search filters and you can select which document to view.
QuoteValet Insight Admin
Admin-menu access requires master security rights. The Admin page enables you to check how your sales reps are using QuoteValet Insight. See when users log in and click links in QuoteValet Insight (Inbox, Peer Reviews, etc.). This is very useful in tracking users’ history, such as how often they’re using QuoteValet Insight and what features they’re accessing most frequently. Use the Period drop-down box to break your usage data down into different time periods (Today, This Week, This Month, etc.). Admins can also see any license allocation errors.
